Huma Khan brings over 20 years of industry experience, having previously worked in commercial leadership roles at Sainsbury’s Nectar 360, Danone, and Birds Eye. Huma has recently completed her MSc in Business Psychology bringing a unique blend of people and commercial capabilities to the table.
Having been with the business since April last year as a consultant, Huma has a strong understanding of Catalina’s strategic objectives and has been instrumental in realigning its commercial approach and sales capability development, bringing fresh thinking to its ‘Customer First’ approach.
In her new role, Huma will head-up the commercial leadership team to drive growth and ongoing innovation that engages shoppers and delivers an omni-channel, customer experience through hyper-personalised solutions.
Huma Khan, Commercial Director, Catalina UK said: “Throughout my career I have been fortunate to have experienced sales from a diverse perspective, and success always comes down to your people, and how well you understand your customers. As a qualified Organisational Psychologist and Psychometric Practitioner now, I can combine that with my practical sales experience to truly specialise in all aspects of cultivating optimal sales performance to help my team and my customers win in the market.
“Catalina UK is a hugely exciting business with an ambitious team and impressive plans for growth; I am excited to be a part of this next chapter. Anyone who thinks Coupon at Till is becoming an irrelevant channel would be making an erroneous assumption. Research from shoppers and retail clients suggest paper coupons are not going to disappear anytime soon, and whilst we are thrilled to be bringing out innovation that delivers a truly omni-channel customer experience, we will always be impassioned about delivering value directly in our customers hands, particularly at a time when they need it most.”
Catalina’s UK Managing Director and VP, Prem Patel said: “We’re very excited for Huma to lead the commercial team. It’s a huge step forward with our growth plans and a great way to kick-off the new year. Huma has been consulting with the business since April last year, and has undoubtedly made her mark, leveraging her unique combination of sales and psychology expertise to bring new thinking to our commercial approach, sales capability development, and the psychology of buying and selling.
“With more than 20 years of forward-thinking, entrepreneurial leadership, nimble innovation, sales process, and capability development, as well as her demonstrated commitment to developing people, differentiated business strategies, and sustaining customer prosperity, we know Huma will hit the ground running. Her combined strengths will bring new thinking and energy as we gear up to deliver more value to our retailers with the ultimate goal of helping them to better serve their customers.”
